Scale Model Shop

570's Airfix 1/43 W.R.C. 2003 Citroen Xsara

Looks good Ron. Quickly done as well.
You’ll end up showing us later on in the race, after a difficult corner on its side in a muddy ditch.
You could well be right Ian. Not sure if Mrs Ron also chucks cars but maybe airborne after a hump back bridge.

Quick work mucker , looks great muddied up , still intrigued as to its eventual fate !

Finished!
Nice kit, if lacking in detail, all the parts fitted well.
Brush painted using Vallejo 'Air' Then I did me a bit of sculpting with some silicone.....

Rather than make a new bridge, I nicked it from my dio. of Ray Hanna's Spitfire stunt....

For these forest water shots, I've used a bit of cling film (Other food coverings are available) laid on the base. Then added the car and silicone.
Once the photos were tookted, I simply peeled off and slung the cling film and all the silicone. This left me with the original forest track base and a clean car..all nice and dry. Now residing in my loft.

I'll post some more pictures over in Mr Bowcat's Racer G.B. Completed.
Thanks to Bob for suggesting and running this build. Good fun for sure.

Cheers.
Ron

Bootiful!! Mrs Ron is the ultimate chucker. To get that model thrown centrally through the bridge takes real skill.

Thanks Jim.
I daresay folks think it's all a bit 'Fishy', but there is no superimposed photo-shop nonsense involved. I wouldn't know how to anyway!

I knowed there'd be some water involved!

Beautiful. Congrats to Justine too. Her chucking skills just get better and better!

Thanks Dave. I'm chuffed you like the finished model. I'll pass on your observations to her Ladyship too....
You've probably seen them, but there are more pickies over in 'Completed'.

Ron, thought I had replied to this but clearly didn't press enter (doh!).

Excellent work as always mate.

Amazing work! No roads or even paths seen. Must have ...."taken the long way home"....
