As the lockdown remains and I can’t get out on the motorbike even though the sun is shining, my next project.

That one had me puzzled a bit, but it’s a Zvezda kit in a Revell box. Looks pretty good going by the instructions I found on Revell’s web site.

Fingers crossed Jakko.

I have one of these on the go......different scale though. Have fun Gary. :thumb2: Rick H.

I have edited the thread title to reflect what you are building, ;)

If I may offer a tip … :) Sprue shots are easy to make by just putting the sprue flat on a single-colour background, like a sheet of paper or a desk top or something. Then just point your camera/phone/tablet straight down at it and take a photo.

It seems like a nice kit, though. The engine deck hatch is separate, does it include an engine? Also good to see the kit includes the fuel tanks that sit below the grilles along the sides of the engine deck, so there’s not just a big empty hole under those.

I will remember the tip for next time Jakko. No engine. I did price one up but it’s nearly the same as the model cost.

LoL, I will try not too. It’s amazing how small things can fall, bounce and disappear.

The "Carpet Monster" is alive and well.......he lives under every hobby bench on the planet! :tongue-out3:

Great project to undertake. I wish you all the best with the build and looking forward to seeing how the kit goes together. Good luck

Ok. Bits completed in amongst other things, work, teaching the son how to drive and decorating, that for some reason suddenly needs doing sooner rather than later :rolling:
I have managed to nearly complete the turret, well the interior. The paint work could have been better, the Revell Matt White supplied with the kit is horrible, I won’t be using it for anything else and of course the hand eye coordination needs to settle down for the intricate work. I did fit in some maps in the box and a pin-up on the other side.
Moving onto the main hull, which will probably involve unpacking the air brush set I treated myself to and of course the numerous wheels.
I’m working in gin a confined set up at the moment, but plans are afoot to improve it, a bit :smiling:

Looks good so far Gary.....nice touch with the pin-up. I've seen it more than once in German WW ll.
photos.

White always covers poorly over plastic, especially if you brush it. If you need a white interior, then it’s far easier to buy a spraying can of white primer and use that instead.

If you’re aiming for realism, BTW, the interior should be ivory (a yellowish off-white) rather than plain white. You could easily paint that over the white coat you have now, and it would most likely fix the somewhat uneven coverage as well.
