That's a beauty Steve! ;) Can I ask who is the manufacturer? Or which one is the "best" at this scale?
It's based on one of the Hasegawa kits. At 1/32 they are the best you can get.

Cheers

Steve

Well....you will use the amazing paint set and brush that comes with the kit? :D a brave challenge :D :D :D

No not at all Polux lol vallejo and airbrush all the way all these paints will be put in a box with the others I have about 70 of these now and I am not sure I will ever use them and would they be acrylic paints I'm not sure and no I'm not brave lol cheers John :)

That looks ok john , from your photos it doesn't look as bad as some of the others I've seen and it doesn't look rivet riddled I look forward to seeing this

Well this turned up in the post office today, so I guess I am in. Just hope we find and move into a new house before the New Year.

I've had a quick look in the box and it looks pretty good. Its got a good amount of detail, the parts look clean and there are even three resin pilot figures in the box!

Wow!! Very nice Ian ;)

Three figures...? What kind of plane is it? A bombardier? :D

Ahhh...and remember, don't touch the kit and the sprues until 2015 O_o

Sorry :D I cannot resist try to imitate you as a moderator :P :P :P

Ah well you see Polux, I dont know what the figures are as I have not unwrapped them. I think that they are just three different pilots. They're all standing.

So I guess that they will not be all Airfix kits in the sig.

Nice Ian looks like quite a few spits will be getting an airing for this SSIG , I'm hoping to get the trumpy hurricane at Telford if not I have quite a few already to choose from :)

I think i'll either end up doing a Mustang 'D' or a Hurricane, I really wanted to do a Mosquito, but now it's out of production this wont happen lol

Watched a few on Ebay, usally sell for £200+ now! :o

Cough.......

Just read all this thread again to prove i'm not going mad lol ;)

Is this, or is this not going to be a 1/24 and larger scale build?

Just found something i really love.... but it's 1/18 scale! lol :D

Well its fine by me Tone, 1/24 or larger that is. Fancied the Mossie as well but think I would have a problem finding a place to show it off. Still early days yet.

I will let Polux have the final call on "other scales" bigger than 1/24. I could also be tempted by a couple of WWI birds in silly big scales.... 1/8.... Yikes!

It would seem that Polux has already said OK for the larger than 1/24 question. It must be an age thing. Or a brain fart.

Ian M

Yep!!

1/24 or bigger is my idea Tone :)

Free topic and all eras.

Out of box, with aftermarket items or with your own scratch build pieces....

A 1/24 plane is not usual, so, we have a good oportunity to build and interesting subject. Personally I would like each thread has a "little" text or history about the model...but the final decision will depend of every member.

Ian, I'm with you! There are some beautiful WWI planes at large scale....I have doubts with my Thypoon now :( I have ever in mind the Bleriot :) :) :)

With all thease 1/24 aircraft (forgive the pun)flying about any one getting itchy fingers yet????
