Scale Model Shop

A knocked out and generally bent, 1/35 Panzer IV. A trilogy

Si. Like most things in life, until you try, you don't know if you can or can't do something.

Thanks Bob. I'm chuffed you approve of the wrecking thus far.

....and thank you both for your support.

Ron

Nice wreaking 570, loving the use of the off cuts and other rubbish in the hole !
Still a shame you haven't done a Stug :nerd:

Cheers Joe!
I have a couple of Stugs doing nothing except gathering dust in my loft so,........ ;)

No one will have noticed, but the thread title has changed to include 'A Trilogy'. During the destruction process, I've come up with a master plan.

Rather, than me having destroyed a tank for the sake of just one diorama, I will use the model for three. The N. African Desert, Western Europe and Russia. These three locations will hopefully give me plenty of scope for extracting the maximum fun I can possibly squeeze out of the kit's supreme sacrifice! Also, it's a great opportunity to try and paint the model to suit the three differing climates and conditions.

Obviously, as the tank will be the same wreck, the last two dioramas will eventually go straight into ' Dioramas Completed' and will have no build thread.

I commend the idea to 'The House'

Well I can’t speak for everyone but think it’s a cracking idea....got my vote :thumb2:

You really do like gettin' your money's worth don'tcha! But it's good value for us an' all 'cos we get to see three builds instead o' just one!

Glad my idea has passed its first reading.
With the blessings of the 'House', I've completed the first wreck of the trilogy - N. Africa.
Here's one photo from the finished offering.....

I'll post the remainder in 'Dioramas Completed' asap.

Thank you for all the support, suggestions and all the mighty fine banter my good friends posted along the way.

Cheers,

Hi Ron
A great idea so another vote in favour.
Wreck no1 is superb. Great photo as always.

....at least this thread has given me some inspiration for when / if my first new attempt at modelling goes pear shaped!

It just gets better 570......is that payne sort of like a payne in the a**?....??or have I missed something? Oh great job on the wreak ( as in, someone wreaked havoc on it) and the photo is very compelling. Rick H.

Ps. off to see the rest of them
