570, don't forget to hire some "busty" barmaids to help move those pints around! I'll drop in for a gawk and a handful of suds!! Rick H.

I'd best not, or this build might go tits up on me!

Thanks chaps.
Update.
I've finally got around to working on me mud pies!
I covered all the mud with a thinned down water based gloss varnish. This coat I let sink into the base.
I applied a second neat coat to any sloping mud surfaces.....Job done.

I've added some dirty water to the outlet pipe and stream. It looks a bit 'orrible just yet but will blend in with subsequent coats of paint.

570 .
Love the clacker on that outfall pipe. ( Please note the description, thought you would approve )
You've caught the mud levels and shape perfectly, exactly how I remember the ones in Norfolk.
Just putting my cycle clips on and we're off to join you .

453 - Glad you like my 'Clacker'!

Culvert now corrected to outlet in my previous post.... :thumb2:

No need for bike clips. The mini bus can pick you up and you can sit on the driver's knee and peep his horn...... :flushed:

No I wasn't getting at you, :smiling5::smiling5::smiling5:570 I was trying to appear knowledgeable in drainage terms.
Pipe , drain , what ever :smiling5::smiling5:
I'm not sitting on any drivers knee, my mother warned me about such people !
He can pip his own horn thank you .unless it is Iwona as mentioned in one of my posts. :blow-kiss-2: I'd sit on her knee anytime
Your 453 .
Nurse no , no , arg zzzzzz. Zzzzzz

I love a dio that tells a story. This already has so many to tell, and it's not finished yet ! Brilliant work Ron.

Looks just like Whitstable Harbour when the tide's out (except that the sheds are all now craft shops and bijou eateries!). Once again, your powers of observation amaze me Ron. Beautiful.

PS Meant to add this just to show how realistic yours is.

Thanks for the very nice comments boys.

I know I wrote I wouldn't be doing too much to the 'Backdrop' but I keep getting ideas!

An everywhere has one, 'You are here' sign.

I've also added some bench seats, scrambling ladders, mooring eyes, ropes and I've started to lay some mooring chains in the mud.P1230630.JPG

Thanks for looking.
Ron

Absolutely love every bit of it Ron, your imagination and ability to slip into your own little world is
amazing to me.
You give me much inspiration to launch into some sort of panoramic dio with structures and a shack or two.
Not just a bomb blasted rubble strewn horror show but something quaint and light hearted, a far cry
from my previous renderings.

Oh... maybe one day...

So which one of these buildings is the Pub in? Needs a sign an awning and a couple tables and some chairs... Don't forget to place me and old 453 out there taking in the view and pinching a few bums! Cheers, Rick H.

STOP PRESS!
It has just been announced that the brewery chain which bought the tug has decided to halt the re-furbishment of the vessel.
In an unprecedented move and thanks to local planning, they are to build a new public house on the quayside. For this pub chain to build from new is unheard of.

A spokesman for them said "It is such a great location, but the tug would be too small, so we have been given permission to build our own harbour pub instead!"

The local chippy is planning on getting up a petition to object to the build.

Hello Officer, sorry I don't know what you're talking about. What CCTV footage?

Cheers.
