Hi everyone.

Just joined and wanted to show my latest work.

I used additional Eduards photoetched parts and chains and balls from Legend Productions.

Hope you like it, don't be afraid to criticize. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum and what a build to introduce yourself with!

As for the criticism what is there to criticise ? Very nice indeed Blu.

Cheers for the comments.

My name is Bart. You know, like Simpson, Ay, Caramba! :>

I'm suprised you haven't noticed few mistakes.. :) I forgot about the ropes around the turret and antennas. It's fixed now, but had no energy to make the pictures again.

Currently working on Abrams w/ mine plow by Tamiya. Few extras added already:)

I have done Challenger II by Trumpeter, but this one is not worth showing. Overall pic -

That's a sweet looking beast Bart, cracking build to introduce yourself with. I look forward to see more of your work.

Regards

Chris

yep, got to agree with the other guys, that is a seriously sweet looking model.

Welcome Bart, awesome build. I've been thinking about getting a Merkava myself but have too many kits in the stash at the moment.

How long have you been at the kit bashing?

@homechild: thanks:) Well, I've started long time ago as a teenager, but stopped at some point. I'm back in bussiness for about 2 years know. Have done couple of training 1/72 babies and finally attacked 1/35 scale. tbh I started all over again, completing tools, techniques etc.

Well Bart if we are going to split hairs, a few antennae might finish it off.

Like the Challenger as well.

Hey! I'm Bart as well. Model-work is fantastic. Pozdrawiam:cheesygrin:

A very good build. The Merkava is a smart looking tank. No criticisms, just a question from someone who likes tanks but doesnt know a great deal about them - whats the purpose of thechains and balls?

Keith

Hey Keith. I'm not that into tanks either but I was looking into this one as I think it's quite a slick looking tank. As far as I could pick up, the chains with the balls are to protect against anti-tank weapons aimed between the main body and the turret, I'm sure someone else could say if this is right or wrong.

Thanks for all replies.

The purpose of chains and balls is to prevent from remote explosives and other anti-tank weapons.

I'm gonna post my new build soon.

Welcome Bart!

Really, really nice Merkava!! I like it, congratulations!

Bluriusz and Drew,

Thanks for clarifying that. Its a beautiful looking tank, anyway. Can tanks be beautiful?

Tanks are beautiful. Just the use of them isn't.

There you have some pictures before.

I take my hat off to anybody who can work with PE that small. I'm not ashamed to say its way outside of my capabilities. I found a bit stuck to my arm once. I didnt even know it was there. Top build mate.

Keith

I'm not an armour person, but this looks great. Nice job.
