discussion academy models

Hi All,

Just been into my local modelzone and was amazed at the prices of their academy models. They had just had delivery of them and i bought a jagdpanzer in 1:26 for £17 which i thought i bargain. they also had a load more planes and tanks at really reduced prices.

i promise you i dont work for them lol. i just thought someone might be interested.

I'd better have a wander down there again. They usually have a 10% off voucher on the back of their pamphlet in the Merry Hill branch too - I generally pick one up, walk out & then back in & use it, lol

Just got back from the local modelzone with lemoff and we both bought a couple of models. going to start one tonight.

asked them if they had the 1/6 dragon sas jeep. luckily they didnt or there would have been trouble lol.

I like Academy stuff. I've done a couple of 1:72 aircraft and really like the detail on them, especially at their prices.

Its a bloody nightmare!!! I wasnt planning on getting one (well, i suppose by saying i'd pop in for a gander is really saying that you will probably walk away with something hehe) but for £7 for a 1/48 scale aircraft... not bad

I am very concerned that my stash is growing!!! Right, less forum and more building!

what can I add? the next ten kits in the queue for my bench are all Academy. They do offer good value for your money, which makes modeling even more enjoyable...

Ive got a good few of them in my stash now, good models and good prices, especially from Model Zone!

Theyve got a few more 1:35th scale kits coming up soon that are at reduced prices, these are the British M-10A1 Achilles (£12.99) and the M4A2 Marines Sherman (£11.99) these are on their own site as pre-order, got mine booked!
