Has anybody built any of the following transport vehicles. I'm looking to add one of them to my railway gun build as part of the final display but I need to find out how big the completed kit is before I decide which one to add,

Revell 1/35 v3000s truck

Tamiya 3 ton 4x2 truck

Zvezda L4500A truck

Italeria HF2 Schwerer Heeresfeldwgen (x2 horses and a cart)

Also looking ahead, my next build is the 1/35 Karl Mortar. The question is has anybody ever seen the loading vehicle that I have seen in some photos as a kit? I am guessing the original was built on a panzer II / III chassis.

Anybody out there ever built one or offer any advice?

Many thanks in advance..

I`ve built the Zvezda L4500A truck along with the maultier version, nice kit to build and looks great, it is a big truck though.

I suppose it all depends on the look you are after for the dio, if you are after a big opposing truck the the L4500A is the one you want, personally I would go for the Revell V3000s truck, it looks different and would be different from the norm ,which ever you decide to build, keep us updated, I would like to see the final display;)

This may help:

Thanks Tommy. I like the look of the V3000s but it depends on how big assembled kit is as I need it to fit on the display that I have already partially built. Pics are available in the under construction bit of this section. :)

Gern and Ian thank you both. Never seen that particular kit, now on a mission to track one down!!! :)

Plenty of Ausf 1 carriers around, but I managed to find these two:

Gern, Once again thank for the heads up.

I have already ordered one from eModels. However I understand that each mortar had two of these vehicles assigned to them. So in the interests of accuracy and authenticity....... Well it would be rude not to!!!! :)

Again thank you for taking the time to do the searching.

Hi Fuma the Revell V3000s is roughly similar in size to the Italeri Opel Blitz if thats of any help to you mate.

Cheers mate. I ordered a V3000s kit at the weekend. I did look at Italeri Kit as well but I found the V3000s more interesting to look at out of my possible options.

I think that last sentence makes look quite sad....? :D

I have built the morsel Karl greet in 135 pics on this forum, I believe you are talking about the munitions loader which is built onthe chassis of a panzer IV.
