This build is now done. It started out as a SIG build but I ran out of due to non modelling factors.

Over all it has taken me about eight months to complete and I am happy with the result.

LRDG vehicles: Tamiya

Axis Vehicles : Italeri

Figures: Tamiya & Dragon

Building: FOG models

Tarps: tissue paper + PVA

Camo nets: first aid bandage +AM nets

shell casings: fishing line painted brass

webbing straps: insulation tape painted appropriate colour

Wooden boxes: balsa wood cut to size

Floor boards, window shutters, ladders: Coffee stirrers

Base: MDF, balsa wood, tiling grout, Artists Acrylic Paint, Bird cage sand

Paints: Artists oils and acrylics, Valejo and Tamiya.

Weathering products: Flories, Tamya, Valejo, Revell

During the build I have done a fair amount of scratch building and head scratching in most areas on the board from the floors of the buildings to the extra stowage on the two jeeps. The longest part has been getting the figures to look the part in this I hope I have succeeded.

The Opel Blitz has been left with the primer coat showing an a lot of areas to depict how the the sand has taken off the top coat. This also goes for the Kubelwagen which has the little compartment behind the seat open and being emptied.

The LRDG truck has pretty much been built out of the box with just a few additions on the load.

All Comments are welcome as always And I hope you like it.
