Funnily enough I have recently finished restoring one of these that I tried to customise (Very badly I might add) when I firs started modelling in the 60's.
I came across it kicking around with stuff that I was clearing out of the loft. It could have easily been thrown out all those years ago.
There were a few bits missing, but I managed to do a little scratch building and repair work.
Very pleased to have made this find as I gather mint kits are now very rare and I had nothing to lose by working on this old one that had already been hacked about a bit
I think that Airfix did something with the body moulds of the lotus Cortina and the Ford Zodiac to make custom cars of them beck in the 70's or 80's.
