Wow! Magnificent work Mike, I'd never have known that was the old-tool mould if you hadn't said so. Very inspirational work.

Excellent work Mike!

I love this scheme, I never seen it before :)

What happens on the "blue photo"....where is the spinner...? O_o

Wow stunning and very beautiful build. May I ask, did you use white paint underneath the yellow?

Cheers

Hi Mike

Magnificent work (as usual). The scheme is striking, all the more so because the decals are home-made. Can I ask how they were done - what decal paper and printer etc. - they are exceptionally well done.

Cheers

Mind blowing on such a small scale & considering the age of the model. VERY VERY NICE !!!!!

The prop is turning in the photo (thanks to a hair-dryer) so the prop blades are blurred, Polux.

Thanks Leo, I primed with pink to get a rich yellow. Also, although I rarely bother with pre-shading, I tried it using brown to get a warmer effect than straight black. The effect is very subtle and I was quite pleased with it, although it's barely noticeable on the pics.

Thanks Paul. The scheme came from Kecay Publishing's Captured Butcherbirds Vol. 1. The artwork was drawn up in Adobe Illustrator and printed on an ALPS printer. Since I built this though a set of these markings has been released by Karaya:- http://www.karaya.pl/en/karaya/28/captured-butcherbirds-vol-v-kard7206.html?ref=/en/karaya/28/3/1/items.html

:D :D :D

I imagined something similar...

Is just I cannot imagine you, in front of the model, with a hair-dryer ;)

Thanks for that. ALPs printers are no longer available now are they? and the consumables now go for silly cash for the remaining printers in circulation? It's a shame that another printer manufacturer hasn't taken up the concept. The ability to print white is a god send for modellers. Looked into buying one myself some years back but the scarcity of consumables put me off.

Still, they do produce some great results, and your FW 190 is proof!

Cheers
