Just a few photos of my latest completed model, the Lightning F6 from Airfix in 1/72nd scale. As usual paint(AK and Vallejo acrylics) slapped on with a hairy stick. It's built straight from the box excepting the long pitot tube which I replaced with a 3rd party brass version. Kit went together very nicely with only minor fit issues around the nose. The background shots of the "'airfield'' were generated by Gemini and merged with my own photos.

Thanks for looking and all comments gratefully welcomed!
Regards

Gary that's a great build in such a small scale very realistic with the photo back drop. How did you do it using Gemini?

Thanks Vaughan! It's quite easy to use Gemini. Go to the Gemini web site (https://gemini.google.com/), select the "'create image"' option, upload your original photo, then enter a description of how you want the resulting image to look like. I used the prompt: "Create an image of a modern military airfield with the aircraft in the foreground on the runway and produce an ultra-HD image. Do not change the orientation of the aircraft"'. After a minute or so you should get an image like mine which you can then download. Beware though that sometimes Gemini does some strange things, so vet the image carefully!!

Thanks Gary for the heads up on how you achieved the images I will give it ago on some of the images of my model aircraft.

Wow. Gary that is a stunning result. Hand painted as well, top marks.

Thanks Steve, nice of you to say so. Maybe one day I'll invest in an airbrush and compressor but at the moment hand painting suits me fine.

That's a very tidy build Gary. And a shark's mouth. I do like a shark's mouth.

Thanks again chaps! Could not resist posting these couple of Gemini composite photos - think they are both better than the last one
