Afternoon all. A nice little build this, it went together beautifully, virtually no flash, and just a few ejector marks most of which are hidden anyway. I undercoated the whole thing in Humbrol 29 from a rattle can before building, and then brush painted it as I went along. Mostly Humbrol enamels but some acrylics too. Basically whatever paint I had that was the right colour! SCC 2 Service Brown is a mix of Hu 29 and 98, the SCC 14 camo pattern is Revell Anthracite acrylic. The canvas tilt was given a wash of 98 then dry brushed with a mix of 29 and white.

First off the chassis and engine. Don't know why I painted the engine as it's completely hidden on the finished model!

Next the wheels were fitted and the rear body built. It's not glued in place at this point.

Construction finished at this point and painting nearly done. Pin washes and fine details being picked out. I made a few alterations along the way - I cut the windows from the top of the doors as this allows you to actually see the interior, and I removed the cupola from the roof of the cab.

Windscreen made with Glue 'n' Glaze as with the side windows removed the kit part is way too thick. It dried a bit rippley but to be honest no worse than the kit transparency.

Finished this one now. A couple more chages to the kit version - the rear canopy on the kit is fully enclosed so I left off the rear section and made the furled flap from miliput. The decals were obviously for an RAF version, and that would never do! So I dug around in my spares and found what I wanted, namely AoS and Divisional markings for 4th Bn the Dorset Regt, 43rd Wessex Division. Not only my county regiment but direct ancestors of my Battalion. Proper job!

Very nice work Alex. I part built this kit for another build earlier, I may have to get another to build it fully.

Thanks Ian. It's a lovely little model, and I've the Tilly to build yet. Haven't decided on the colour scheme or decals yet though.

Alex

Like this a lot. Nice work on the colours. Look forward to seeing some more of your work
