Very nice peter , I love old sailing ships but the rigging puts me off it's something you can't really scrimp on

Looking superb Peter, the deck looks okay in that colour. That is some serious gilding work.

Looking good Peter.

I know it's a pain when you have so many to do, but you'd improve the looks of your cannon by 200% if you drilled out the barrels.

Alternatively, you could paint them as if they had some sort of cover over the end - maybe to protect them from salt water and prevent corrosion; although I'm not sure that was done.

when peter starts the rigging it will be a case of.................peter cant come to the phone or pc as hes slightly tied up at the moment lol

It's the ratlines that always got to be a drag. The running rigging is less boring
 
doing a great job there, if you like the guilding you should try the soverign of the seas another excelent Airfix kit i have built that on 3 times i love these old ships, you're doing a first rate job there.

Thanks i have got to the rigging on this one but i have to be in the right frame of mind to finish it i will one day.
