discussion AK Real Colours Acrylic markers - any good?

As per title, I've been thinking of trying some acrylic marker pens, the AK Real Colours Special Box (34pens) RCM150 set looks good.

Does anyone have any experience of using these at all? (good or bad)

Main thing I would like to know is how long do the pens remain active, eg: do they go off or harden after a few months, etc or do they last a long time?
I appreciate they are relatively small so will not hold a lot of paint, but these would be primamrily for small parts, touch ups, etc.

Or suggestions for good alternatives sets would also be appreciated.

Good question Peter, Ive seen these used on the Tube with good results. Like you my thoughts are the same .

Had mine for about six or seven months and none have dried out that I know of.
Find them very useful for small parts, nice tip for detail and the wider part of the nib for larger areas.
Used the Rubber Black and Dark Aluminium a lot and they are still working.
I bought fourteen, looked at the complete set, but fair few I would never use.

I bought the same set four months ago and have used them extensively on my recent builds.

The figure here was done entirely with the AK pens as was a lot of the interior:

Almost all of this build was done with the same pen set and I found that they came into their own when building motorbikes:

I am currently using them on this build of the Revell AF Schlingmann TLF although I am also using Molotow Chrome pens:

They are so good for detailed painting:

I bought a stand for the pens to stay in when not in use but I did read somewhere that it is best to keep them laying down when not in use so I use zipped cases instead.
