Guys, what do you do with all thoes built models we amass?


Obviously recent builds would more than likely be displayed on a shelf in the home but what about all the others.


Do we simply store them in the loft or do they make their way to the bin!


What do you do with your builds?

90% still on the shelves.


5% hidden away


5% air-riffle targets..

On display or boxed up. Old ones that look a bit rubbish next to new ones are sometimes scrounged for spare parts

Old ones boxed and in loft apart from my favourite ones new builds depending on how good I think they are if their rubbish I usually use them for parts the carpet monster has ran off with

I just build quality so of course mine are always on show...


Some are sold to make room, no room to store loads. I am not a 'pro' builder so just see if I can make enough towards a next model.

On shelves and as these fill up I am hanging them from the underside of the shelves.


When these are filled hanging from the ceiling over Pauline's bed. Not over my bed the things may fall on me during the night.


To be serious I have two sea planes plus one to be built and may ask the Jersey Maritime Museum if they can find a place to display them.

Two thirds are in boxes this years are on display but once the year is up i will pack them away ready for next years kits but what i will do with boxed up ones i have not made my mind up yet

I'm not a productive modeller


Let's see....


Five are on display around the home (the Land Rovers, the 1/6 jeep and the 1/24 Stuka)


Three was sold (one without my permission )


One Spit traveled to England (not finished)


Four are like the never-ending story...


Four more are waiting for an incert future (trash or present)


All the others are on the trash.... (about 7)

I've kept them all but need to be ruthless and start throwing them out to make way for the newer more improved ones!

crappy ones get stripped and donated to the spare boxes
