Morning all,

Just a place holder until the GB starts, but I will be building this.

I took a while to consider what I wanted to build and I couldn't think of anything more American than a muscle car, and after a lot of thought the most iconic (to me) is the Ford Mustang. I even managed to get one from a US kit maker. :)

I will amend this post to include the sprue shots before I start building.

Afternoon all. :)

Made a start on this today. Sprue shots up first.

I started with the body, and unfortunately the kit is showing it's age (or I am too used to Tamiya kits). The body is nicely molded, not to much clean up, but the fit of the front and rear panels leaves a lot to be desired.

I foresee some filling and sanding in my immediate future.

Really looking forward to this, those panel alignments are very poor but I'm sure you will panelbeat it into shape.

Cheers gents. :)

I got the filler on yesterday, will leave to fully cure until tomorrow and give it a sand. I think there may be a few rounds of fill and sand to get it right.

Great choice, a real US icon. Definitely some fit issues to deal with. Personally I dislike kits with white plastic - I find it hard to see issues needing clean up.
