Heres the 1964 FROG tooling of Amy Johnsons record breaking de Havilland dh60 Gipsy Moth “Jason”
A simple but basically accurate little kit just needing a bit of extra help . Build thread can be found here - https://www.scalemodelling.co.uk/threads/frog-1-72-de-havilland-dh-60-g-gypsy-moth.1276331/
A fascinating woman and story , born in Hull , went to university in Sheffield then worked down London before doing the incredible England to Australia solo flight . Became a celebrity and later during wartime joined the ATA , ferrying aircraft from factory to squadrons , sadly losing her life doing so , crashing into the thames estuary in unknown circumstances and her body never found .
Anyway look it up its a great story , heres the pics including the last one -I altered it a bit to try and make it look like a period photograph . Comments , criticisms , groundless abuse , rumour, tittle tattle , cash , cheques , postal orders and green shield stamps welcome .
Cheers tonyIMG_7030.webpIMG_7031.webpIMG_7032.webpIMG_7033.webpIMG_7034.webpIMG_7035.webpIMG_7036.webpIMG_7037.webpIMG_7038.webpIMG_7041.webp

I followed this one from the beginning Tony and saw the extra work and detail that you put into it. A great result on a model that we don't see that often Great work.

Turned out lovely Tony, you really did an excellent job adding all those details - well done sir 👌
That is a truly beautiful build Tony. So much effort in transforming the ancient FROG kit into a gem. Amy looks great. It was a real pleasure to watch this build.
