I dont know if its a good idea or just an idea, but i get the impression that there are quite a few of us in this forum that use evil-bay for their next fix!

Some people such as my self are quite transparent in the choice of user name, I go simply as Ian M. Very inmaginative.

My though was that if members of this forum use e-bay under cover of a totally blind alias we could end up out bidding eachother on some of the things and pushing the prices up. So what about having the a list of e-bay names so if we find we are bidding against one another we can either stop or contact the person and find out just how much they want the kit. Also if you sell on there its always much nicer to give your money to some one you know rather than a comlpeat stanger...

So is it a good idea, a bad idea or just one of those things we should all keep to our selves?

Im very predictable. I very rarely bid over a tenner on anything. In fact most of the time I dont bid over a tenner including postage.

i use phalinmegob........but i was under the impression that you could not see the names of other bidders until the auction had finished,not sure because i am not bidding on anything at the moment,maybe someone else could check this...i am sure it only shows the first and last letter with the rest as stars ie p*********g
