Andy's 1/35 Tamiya Gama Goat

Another cracking build Andy, she's gonna look spectacular with a splash of paint on her..

I'm not normally one for adding details, and there are people here who do it so much better, but I've added a couple of things that I've seen in reference images.

A lever for the winch was made using an offcut of PE fret. A couple of (lifting?) rings at the front, and some pipes above the fuel tanks.

And the water pipe supplied with the bowser would have taken so much work to get it looking right that I decided to replace it with some solder wire. It needs a bit more work to conform to the space but already better I think

Thanks guys.

I could see it getting addictive Paul. I've since added some missing shackles and am scouring images for anything else I can add 😁

Whether they survive paint is another thing...

Not much to show but everything has had a squirt of primer. There's still all of the "cargo" to sort out, but I seem to have mislaid a box full of barrels & stowage when I moved from the shed, so I've ordered a few more bits & pieces.

I've also made a start on the driver. After altering his pose a little to suit the upcoming vignette I painted the skin and have basecoated his clothing ready for the camo pattern.

Looking forward to the next steps, have fun (y)
Thanks, and here we have some 😁

I've splashed the main colours on, added the decals that survived my butchery 🙄 and have given it a quick matt varnish to seal them in (I'd highly recommend the SMS stuff if you spray lacquers)

I've started a bit of the detail painting but there's more to follow:

And I've begun roughing out the base with messy polystyrene. I'll let the pva set up then do a bit more carving. Outside!
