Do you guys thin your varnish or just use it straight from the jar, etc?
I tend to use Tamiya XF gloss clear and Humbrol Matt clear mostly, but alos have some Lucky Varnish too, (not yet used).
Thanx

For brushing, straight from the jar thoroughly mixed. For spraying Tamiya or Mr Color I dilute them the same as I do paint, approximately fifty fifty. The varnish must be well mixed though.

Thinned it 1:1 and gave the SAS Pink Panther two thin coats of gloss varnish, looks a lot better than my first attempt with varnish through the AB, so thank peeps.

I use enamel varnishes Peter and they are thinned down. How much thinner you use depends on the consistency they arrive at from the manufacturer. As a guide anything you spray should be mixed to a milk like consistency. One thing to watch out for is if your mixture is too thick it can dry on your model like candy floss in areas where the spray gets swirled around, like recesses and joins etc. If that happens don't panic, let it dry then wipe it off with a cloth or gentle rub with plastic scouring pad.
