How old is that boxing?

It makes you wonder whether the newer versions are really 1/72 or 1/76 as it says on that box (OO scale is 1/76. Both scales are railway scales, HO is 1/87 and usually refers to the track)

Cheers

As far as I know they were issued from 1976 to 1982 and are 1/76 scale although elsewhere they have them as 1/72. The RAF personnel box is the same scale and is a 1980 issue IRC.

These are not mine by the way, just spotted them and figured two sets going cheap maybe of use to someone.

HO is indeed 1/87 but this can be applied to rolling stock and other HO models, for example, the destroyed building I use in my wrecked street scene is a Pola HO kit while the tank and figures are 1/72.

HO is common with US and continental railway modellers while OO is a hybrid used almost exclusively in British railway modelling; the track is the same gauge as HO but the model bodies are 1/76 OO.
