Thanks guy's really appreciate the comments and compliments,

I need to resign this build as a SSIG can't finish it in time and I don't want to rush it that would be a shame. But I sill update the progress until it is definitely finished.

So my sincere apologies to all of you for not finishing this build in time.

It looks like it might be Italian pattern but it's rather orangy - might just be the photos. Anyway keep em coming and happy new year.
Jep your right its the Italian pattern, the light was a bit warm yellowish if you know what I mean. I used this picture as a reference: View attachment 95392

Thanks Tommy.

So here's a small update,

Took a break from the figurines and went on to put some grass on the side where the church stands.

Soaked it in diluted pva and then i used my home made grass applicator to put on the static grass.

Not much, but here are the pics.

the power poles,is what we call them look great, and how did you make the things to hold the wire look spot on,

fantastic building, ;)

Thread owner
Thanks Moni, those things are called insulators that i knew  they came in a package with 3 poles and they are from Custom dioramics, had those laying around for a long time (13 years or so price is not even in euro's:cool:)

so I am going to take a night shift and see if i get some work done on the Stug

Cheers Richi

Impressive paint job and exceptional build skills!

But the way you're painting figure is absolutely stunning.

Hello all,

well its the 1 of January and I want to wish all of you a healthy and prosperous 2015.

Then I want to thank all of you guy's and girl for visiting this thread, giving me advice, helping me with research, keeping me motivated and giving me compliments on the build. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

There is a but, I didn't make the dead line:mad::mad:.

So I am sorry about that.

I am not sure if I can finish the build in the 2014 SSIG or if it need to be moved to Dioramas in progress any info would be nice.

So thanks again you all.

Cheers Richi

I'm going to say that everytime I check in to see how you're getting on with this, the levels of detail going into it are stunning. Yours wouldn't be the first late SIG/SSIG build Richi. I think Tony set some sort of record recently with his MiG conversion, prior to that I had a Phantom about 6 months overdue.

maybe Ian can say yes or no to that Richi,as I,m sure he will let it in,as so much surperd work has gone into this one, just plain outstanding fanatic building,

I just lov it all,im lost for words with how good it is, :D

I think i saw that as well Joe,and thats why im saying surly Ian will let it in and hee has even said one longer than that too me,

Hi Richi

Magnificent work. The terrace houses look absolutely brilliant and the addition of the grass has brought another another texture and yet another layer on to, what is already, a very complex and lengthy build.

Brilliant work.

I do hope Ian allows you to keep the thread together. It would be nice to see the thread completed and in one piece.

And about missing the deadline, If it's any consolation I missed one by 2 years with the RC Tiger!

Cheers

Paul

Hello all and thanks for the motivation an kind words.

Worked on the Tracks a little, used a base of mahogany brown then a black wash and after that dried for a day, I used a normal HB pencil to recreate the metal effect.

Here are the pics,

After that I put the tracks, sprocket and road wheels on it, I took a hairdryer to make the track a little flexible to make it fit right on the street side.

Positioned the spare parts on the afterdeck and closed up the MG outlet on the Saukopf mantled

I started to do the first stage of weathering

but here are the next pictures

Well the Stug is drying from the oil drybrushing so I started on some Camouflage made from trees that was a common practice in WWII

I cut some leaves with the plotter in different sizes 3 to 5 mm and glued them on some seamoos

Here are some pictures but it is a wip. not really happy jet so I will try some other methods.
