I'm not one for doing build threads, I don't think I'm good enough and quite often get frustrated and give up on it, I'm determined to complete this, it won't be a detailed build just more like a few pics as and when I do a bit.

I thought this was ok until I took a picture of it and noticed a few mistakes, I'm also struggling with colours, there are no reference colours in the instructions, so I'm having to Google it, but that doesn't always bring up the same results

Find some Tamiya instructions, or another brand. A good guide to start of with. There are a few places you can download instructions. I would start there.

Nice to see you building something John, looks like a great start. Finding the right colours is always a bit of a pain but I'm sure there's plenty of experts here on the forum that can help you with that. The most important is that you're having fun 👍

Looking good John. I know what you mean about spotting mistakes in a photo. Happens to me every time I post a picture I notice something that I had missed. Happy building, Should look stunning when finished.

Good that you're able to actually find some time at the bench. An impressive model. Hope you get the colours sorted but close is probably good enough.

It’s looking good to me. John.
Try downloading Lancaster instructions off Scalemates, Tamiya perhaps. That should give you a pretty good idea of colours. In my research it did vary a bit anyway so don’t get too fixated on it.

I’ve downloaded the HK model’s instructions to use as a guide, looking at a picture I found to get those colours I don’t think I’m too far off

Looks good John, I think the colours you’ve gone with are close enough 👍

Not had much chance to do anything with this, it’s been busy at work, anyone would think it’s Christmas 🎅

but I’ve done a little bit more, sorry for the lack of pictures, I’m going to have to get used to taking them.
