It would break my heart to sell this awesome job, I would rather sell my daughters.....problem is no one can afford to support them...lol

Thread owner
lol Thats really funny. Id love to keep it of course but with the next build of the SE5a 1/4 scale im going to need all the room i can get and this would be in the way. At least i have the some 600+ build pics to reflect on at some later stage in my life as with the P47.

Well, here we go with the final part of the build, if you recall i said that the very last thing to do was the engine couls, here they are. On some versions of this plane there are vents panels on each coul so i decided that this model will have them, afterall it is shown on the plan i copied of the version i have decalled. These are cut at an angle of 45 deg from styrene Evergreen, each one has to be cleaned of burs before fixing to the coul. To assist in cooling the motors i decided to make these working vents and drilled the vent holes for each one. Panel detail and rivits will follow before final paint and weathering.

Here you can see the return of my home made line marker, works realy great on any shape, i tried to do this before by measuring and getting the lines to meet was a nightmare, this way is so quick and easy and is spot on everytime.

I cut out the priming stage, you guys have seen and know how to prime im more than sure.

Always of interest to me what you do with this gal, great, how long now to up,up and away Andy.

Thread owner
Thanks Ray,

I recon she will be ready to fly a week on Saturday if im not sumond to go shooting. Cowels will be complete this weekend, then its pitch setting and speed control setting and she is ready. I bet the weather will be against me now also so she might have to sit tight for a while.

Andy

I hope you are aware that there are about 50+ people that are going to be seriously numb if you dont get some one to video the flight!!!!

I for one am really looking forwards to seeing her catch some air and fly!

Thread owner
Hi Ian, no problem, i have a nice new HD camcorder that i will use while i let the expert test fly it for me. Thanks for following this thread and for everyones kind words.

Ill call this one almost there.

Just got the front side guns to make and re-fit the top cun turret barrels and she is ready for setting up. I wanted to give you a sneak preveiw guys before she parks on the runway. She will look her best when she is on the tarmac. You will see one of the pictures showing a green light in the rear window, this is where i have hidden the battery checker.

Hope you like it. The SE5a will be put on hold for a while as i have been converted somewhat by many of you to a new venture, the Tiger Tank. This will be the next project... a whole new direction for me. Get to try my skills at a scale much closer to yours. Hope i can get close to anything like what you guys can acheive, then i will be quite happy.

Andy
