back to work

I've only retired...hmmmm...let's see, about ten times now, when you are the founder of a family business
there is no such thing as retirement, only short breaks. We've been in the logging and firewood business
for 30 some odd years now, me and my two boys. A more dangerous and yet strangely rewarding occupation
would be hard to come by.
Our wives wished we would have chosen something safer like crocodile wrestling or time bomb disposal.
We've broken more bones Than the museum of natural history but we would shrivel up and die if we were
chained to a desk in some stuffy office somewhere.
We'll take the bears and the wolves over some snotty desk jockey supervisor with his nickers in a twist
and a wife that's more of a man than he is. 😆

Jim.

I retired a couple of months shy of 55, intended to leave at 58, but an early leaver package tempted me.
Been twelve years now and no regrets whatsoever, don't know how I ever found time to go to work.
