I had to have my big, beautiful 4yr old Mastif/ Alsation put down this morning so I needed some therapy.....

Off to town and into the Model shop.... SALE TIME!!!!!

Below is what I purchased:-

1/144 Revell U. Boat (53cm)

1/72 Revell Gato Class Submarine 1320cm. That's 4ft 4" of boat!!!!!

1/35 Revell SU-100 Russian Tank Destroyer

1/48 Revell Harrier GR Mk 7/9 super detail

2X 1/72 Pegasus Tank kits ( 2 tanks per box) great little kits.

Makes life a bit more bearable now....

Ron

Sorry to hear about your dog Ron. I don't think there is anything much more heart wrenching than having to make that decision.

You have some amazing kits there! Let me know what the Harrier is like, I was looking at it in Hobbycraft this morning.

How very sad, very sorry about your dog. A bit of plastic bashing maybe just what's needed. You've got a nice selection to go at there.

Cheers

Thanks for the sympathetic ears boys.

Graham, the guy in the shop let me have the 1/48 Harrier for under a tenner...a very nice man, a very nice man indeed!!

Cheers,

Ron

Sorry to hear about you dog Ron I would be gutted if anything was to happen to ours.

I've looked at the Revell Submarine many times I really want to do it but never got round to getting it, I will look forward in seeing how you get on with it.

Must be something in the air, I got a Harrier, mine is Tamiya Hawker Sea Harrier 1/48

Thanks John, nothing worse than digging a hole up the garden with your mate lying beside you......

Anyway, like you I have been eyeing up the Gato for some time but could never justify the 60 odd quid for one, but as the very nice man said I could have one for under £30, how could I say no?!!

Ron

Sorry about ya pal Ron, i know what you're going through mate. We did the same a few months ago with ours, still not over it too.

Take care, John

Sorry to read about the loss of your dog. Always a hard one to cope with, lossing a loved dog og cat.

looks like the shoping theoropy has come up with a few good bits. I have a revell u-boat in 1/72 waiting to be done. fancy the Gato a bit too but dude its huge!

hi ron , sorry to hear about your loss.Hopefully the purchases will help to take your mind off it for a bit, got a real haul there didnt you? Like you said the revell gato usually costs more than 50 quid on its own!! Take care mate , tony

That's really sad about your dog Ron & it's never easy when it happens. Hopefully your new stash will help take your mind off it & maybe you could name the Gato after your lost friend? Might be a nice tribute.

Patrick
