just starting my sig thread off, not sure what i am going to build yet but will include a mish mash of bits i picked up from a car boot sale which include a some warhammer figures and airfix robogear(thanks to a 7 year old who gave me a huge box of sprues for £4,bet your dad went nuts), and possibly a galactica viper or alien drop ship(thanks sky raider) on a harsh alien landscape..should turn out to be a right mess.stay tuned

well you know by know that i dont like to hang around so i have made a start on the robot figures. admittedly its a bit of a cheat as these are snap together kits which i did not find out till earlier. no instructions or colour schemes or box art just a load of sprues and trying to figure out what goes where....pure guess work and probably wrong but i dont care.

Keep up the good work.

I haven't built sci-fi stuff since i was a youngster, but my star fury build is putting me in the mood to do more as well.

OOOPS . Scrape the paint off put a thin layer of polly filler on it then paint it again should look ok . Anyway best of luck with it Andrew

Bummer! I had a like problem a while ago with Vallejo's still water resin. Apparently it did not like being cold and damp when I did it.

It could be that there was still a bit of moisture in the ground work you had done, weakening the bond! Live and learn some will say, at £10 a bottle my comment was somewhat more to the point. (I used three bottles!!!)

It will be good to see your fix.

posting this one as finished at the moment as to be perfectly honest i have lost a lot of interest in it after a few mishaps, what with the water problem and then i have dropped it twice and smashed bits off that i have been reglued and then knocked off again. i may put it on the shelf and take another look in a few months and decide if i want to add more.

ignore the last photo, dont know how to remove it, that was before i fixed the water.

Well done Andrew. That is one of the more original Diorama's on here I have seen in a long while.

It Looks good as it stands but if you get the need to fiddle with it some more, just keep posting those pictures.

casper van diem.... top film, thanks
Has anyone read the book by Robert Heinlein? It makes the film look childish and shabby I'm afraid - but the battle scenes are great even if the rest is not so good.

Gotta agree it's a little unusual to see a Sci Fi dio here, but that looks smashing! As Ian says, if you do add any more, please send some pictures.

You can always add to it later as you say, although it's ok as it is in my opinion ... you can't really add a lot to a baron planet eh?

I thought Starship Troopers when i saw the pics too :)
