discussion BMW R80 restoration

Continuing with suspension currently. Found one of the bottom brackets cracked so have sent this to be welded. Other side good so a good clean, buff, mask and primed, hopefully ready for top coat gold tomorrow.

Also while looking at bits on the other bench found one of the front brake discs cracked in several places.

Glad to see she's still coming along. Quite common for those discs to crack like that...

Decided the final main colour is going to be BMW Cosmos black (metallic black, thought doesn't look it in the pic). Sprayed yesterday and clear lacquered today. Rebuild tomorrow, just need the other one following welding the cracked bracket.
