HI ALL well the build is still goin on heat or no heat as here im now just putting te 6inch guns into there trinion blocks i think they are called now to cut out the sides where there will be a shaft hole on each side to take the axle bar so guns can elevate up an down but not doin this on the small 3 inch turret as not enough room top veiw IMG_7501.JPG

I see that the new mistress of the house is getting well acclimatised and is getting her new subjects organised.
I've always used straight forward ant powder for wasp nests - give a good squirt down the hole and they carry it in, worst case scenario is having to do it a second time if any number of larvae hatch and have food.

Great work on the turret Chris. I wish I had your electronics knowledge!

Ain’t that always the way! I swear I have (insert tool or resource) to hand and when I go to find it it’s nowhere to be found. I wish I had a quid for every time that happens!

Cheers

HI ALL time for an update on that 6 inch gun turret
an it been a bugger to build due to all the angles an it still not finished but here are a few pics showin how its comin into shape here got the side inner wall shapes fitted to give me a guide to overall shapeIMG_7512.JPG

Thread owner
AN HERE main outer sides bein fitted to give that weird
IMG_7515.JPG shape but i know the reason for it as the angled side may defleck a shell rather than penetrating the turret

Thread owner
an in this pic above ive connected the servo up to the guns so when servo pull back the guns will elevate but cant do it on the other side as the servo is now tryin to push the guns down which i dont want so a wire attement will give an not burn out the servo

Thread owner
rear shot of the turret an accece door an the sides all built in an now beggning to get that turret shape IMG_7518.JPG

Thread owner
an here i fitted in some hard wood to screw down the top when its fitted as i must IMG_7519.JPGhave accese to the insides in case the wire breaks what elevates the guns

Thread owner
an here can be seen the amber leds that will gun flash an not very bright as only on 6v may have to power them by 12v but the guns flash will do just that when i get the knock on switches fitted an hopefully 6 inch gun sound
