Hi chris , great project . I built this a few years back and its a huge kit ! Ive done enough old Monogram kits to know the decals will be knackered , guaranteed , I would definitely get some decal film on them . The undercarriage is something to watch for too, its beautifully detailed but very complicated and a bit fragile . Btw the big fuel tank under the fuselage also contained the nuclear bomb ! Its an amazing looking machine and its going to look wicked all lit up boatman style !

HI Tony yes you are right about that main under cart as ive been all day trying to work out how it all fits but on the instruckions it says some parts are omitted out an not shown so did you have any close up shot of this under cart for me to study please if you can help me you will make an old penshioner happy lol

Awesome Chris, the Hustler has a real Cold War beast look to it. The decals look okay in that photo, but it might be a good idea to treat them to a decal bonder of some sort just to be sure.

Have you got any Liquid Decal Film Chris? I've used it on really old decals with great success.

HI GUYS well ive now got that liquid decal film to put on the decal but now a question guys when i brush it on the decals can i just brush the stuff over the whole sheet or do i just brush the film on just the decals an do i have to cut out the decals before goin in the water ?

Yes Chris. The decal film dries to be just like the clear carrier film on normal decals.
I don't float decals off - I dip them in water then lay them on an old bathroom ceramic tile for a few minutes.

Not sure if you know but there was a remake in 2000

WELL Miko got it on dvd off ebay an it was a load of cr*p as at least in the first failsafe film i see it shew the B58 Hustlers goin in to bomb russia an got the film more instresting but this remake must have been made on a shoestring as it was just all yak yakin an i was bored by the ending an im goin to give it to a charity shop an get rid of it what a waste of money that was an jen was asleep through most of the film

HI GUYS well the hustler build is still goin great guns lol an yesterday i spent all day just tryin to see if i have all the parts as the plastic bags had been opened an quite a few parts were broken off their spruse so i think someone treid to build this an realised they were in over their head an gave up sharpish an sold it on ebay an along come mugs own an bougght it lol but well so far ive mandged to sort out the complicated three sets of undercarts two main ones an the front parts an boy is it complicated as tony (yakface ) warned me an he is right an here in this pic are all the parts that go to make up the undercarts an i can see why the other person sherked off an dint try an build it BUT NOT ME im goin to build it come hell or high water lol

an some pics of them undercarts what ive got to build an im getting a vauge idea of how all this goes togeather as my old fossil brain is in high gear as im lovin this kit SO FAR an im jumping up to the undercarts as ive got to fit in the landing light which i have done this morn an wow they were tall must be 15 ft tall on them back main gear

AN SOMEBODY please help me on this burnt paint on the rear half of the engines as ive looked on ebay for burnt paint but not sure which to buy ?

AN IVE nearly built the front undercart an you can see that the landing lights have glass lensces on them these did not come with the kit as ive had these a number of yrs in my spares box but when i lit up the white 2mm leds they look great as the glass give a sort of lencein effect an make the 2mm leds a lot brighter they should look great when lit up as i wont light them up yet as i dont want to spoil you guys so you will have to wait so there lol
