HI Jim well hopefully the worst is over but yes when havin fit issues it does get to you but how many ive had is disgracefull really for the amount of money this cost jen as she was a bit annoyed when she asked how the plane is comin on an i tell her it wont fit as really i think trumpy have made the kit to complex eg. where a part could have been moulded in one part they have made the part in several parts which in MHO has made it into a difficult to build kit if you see my meaningWell Chris you are getting there - with Jen's invaluable help :thumb2:
When you have fit issues it's always frustrating and takes time and patience to fix. You will certainly sort it.

thanks garry should look better with her decals onBrilliant Chris.
HI Jakko yes i had a look an yes big gaps to be filled why can these kit makers make a kit that fits as the filler makers must be makin a killinJust saw this Il-28 build on Scalemates, it reminded me of your F-14, as it shows Trumpeter kits aren’t just this quality in the large scales. Be sure to look at pictures 6 and 7 too, and the comments underneath.
YES Pete i think you are right an it certainly dint work on my tomcat kitMoulded parts can shrink and distort, so making the mould for a part the same size and shape as a hole it should fit doesn't always work in practice.
Pete
THANK Arnie yes im pleased with how the build is shapein up an just sprayed grey another two complete spruces with all the parts on waiting for paint to dryNow that's coming along very nicely!

HI Jakko these were after market decals an not trumpys that i bought from hannants as barry said in his bombcat kit decals broke up so i did an even if i buy more again will they be any good as these ones cost me over £10 so im not chancein them decals again as a waste of money so im carryin on with these ones an im just goin to touch them up an i wil be usein the trumpy ones on my super hornet as again buyin more is not the answer like barry on his bombcat he had the same probs so i think just carry on an an touch them up best i can do then i think it will look acceptable i hopeMan, that sucks  My experience with Trumpeter decals has not really been overly positive. They tend to be thin and very fragile, which makes it hard to apply them properly. Looking at what you’ve got now, I think if it were my model I’d be looking at buying a set of aftermarket decals instead of going on with these, and of course removing the ones already on.
HI John yes i was very dissapointed an the air was very blue an jen had her fingers in her ears while i was swearin as from barrys attempt on his trumpy model he said the kits decals were bad so i bought after market ones an they still fell apart im goin to have a real close look on the decal sheet to see if there is a makers email an if so will complain on an email about these decals as im dreadin to try doin the rest an yes i see jakko's point but if i send for more will they be the same again as i dont want to waste money on them an im just goin to try an touch them up an i think it will look acceptableHells bells Chris that must have been a heart stopping moment when they just fell apart, great recovery .
