AN HI Paul yes im nearly pleased with her if i can just get that canopy to fit then i''ll light her up an take some pics with the gatlin gun showin an open that engine cover an see what ive got an yes light should set her offThe Tomcat looks great Chris. Love the scheme too. You can’t go wrong with a Jolly Roger!
Looking forward to the lights
All the best,

OH THANK YOU John yes been loads of probs but comin on now but i heard that the canopy is a bugger to fit so will see how it goes cheers sir an better than binin itDefinitely looking like a tamed cat now!
Nice job Chris.

HI Bri yes it is ive always used humbol maskol gives a nice finish an now this time just got to hope that i dont get any paint under the maskin i used the proper equdard maskin set but it was a job to fit as its so hard to see on the bit of paper they are mounted on so it was guess work an i used tamyia tape as well now the main canopy is painted satin black like the nose an now got to wait till tomorrow for it to dry an harden off before i cant take off the maskin an fingers crossed if i can i hope to fit a hinge to the canopy to have it rasied or loweredLooks great Chris the liquid mask is a god send :smiling3:
THANKS Scottie yes there have been one or two probs on this build havnt there lol an nice to see you back on here sir an yes them after market decals were rubbish i should have used the kit decalls an not worried about them as i used some an they were good but you live an learn dont we usally the hard way lol an i think ive saved her from the bin as to much work put into her really to bin but will see how that canopy turns out as that goin to make or break the model cheers for lookin inChris,
Apologies it's been a while since I popped in. The problems with the decals have been a right PITA but as usual you have overcome them and turned out a great job. Well done to you and Jen.
AN Thanks Arnie yes im now pleased with her she is turning out fairly well not brilliant but will do for me as it should look fairly good all lit up but will see how this canopy turns outThat is looking superb Chris - well worth all your hard work!

BUT im not very happy with the main canopy as i fitted them eqdaurd masks an tamyia tape over the clear glass an then went around the framein with a pair of pointed twezzers to make sure the masks an tape was fully down a then brush painted an gave it 24 hrs to dry an today i gently removed the tape an masks an the humbroll maskol an well not a good finish i was hopein for as a tiny little bits of paint got under the masks
SO WILL IT DAMEGE THE GLASS THE CANOPEY GLASS if i use a small amount of white spirit to clean away the little paint marks OR WHAT DO YOU GUYS USE TO GET RID OF SMIDEGS OF PAINT ON GLASS ?
Chrisb
oh thanks Arnie ok white spirit is off then an yes i'll try the cocktail stickChris - and this is coming from someone that doesn't usually mask canopies. You should be able to go around the edges of the frame and tidy it up with a sharp cocktail stick. I'd advise against the thinners.
oh thanks Arnie ok white spirit is off then an yes i'll try the cocktail stick
many thanks for info an quick reply sir
