Do you guys wear masks when using glues ie Tamiya green top as I am finding it is irritating my throat when using it up close , I do wear a mask when working with resin or air spraying , I just wondered about glues ?

If it irritates your throat,wear a mask.


And make sure your area is well ventilated.

I think Steve if it affects you I would wear a mask. But not any old mask. Manufacturers of


the trade masks have different filters for a number of different things.


Another thought. Tamiya is very much pear drop smell. Mr Cement S has a different smell


altogether. Perhaps try that about £4 a bottle much cheaper than a custom filter mask.


Mr Cement S does the same trick but is a bit faster acting than Tamiya.

I don't but if you are having problems it may well be worth trying another glue. Compositions and solvents vary.
