Whales finally done, another fill and sand then on to the copper bottom, undercoated the hull to see where work is needed :)

Ship look'in good. Noticed BFH Anger Management System on the tip.

Needing a little help having never built a wooden man o war I am having difficulties marking the waterline, at mid ships it run just a tad lower than the lower whale but every time a run a line fwd and aft it just looks wrong any helpful ideas most welcome.

was going to get a laser line but a bit expensive
 
Coming on a treat. Good luck with the copper plates. I only built the cross section kit and that was enough! Can't help with your waterline query - sorry.

It's ok Jim I have got a cheap laser line which will do the job,,,,,, first class build nice and tidy on your Victory btw :)

Managed to make a start on the waterline using a laser level (made life a lot easier)

Looking fantastic Brian. While it may be time consuming to fit the copper plates, they are already looking very nice indeed. The finished product will reflect the time you are putting into this beauty.
