Hi Brian, Great work so far. I notice in the picture of the fire buckets that there is a rolled up tarps, is this just a recent fitting or would it have been on the original ship?

Paul to be honest I don't know never took that much notice :) I cant think what the tarp would have been used for other than keeping the weather out and I doubt Its something the sailors of the day would bother with ( got to be a modern thing)

Hi, did a bit this morning and wasn't sure which way to carry on !
I decided to mask off as needed and paint but was not happy with the finish with a brush, time to break out the air brush just waiting for some supplies. Will keep you updated.

Maybe to keep the weather out of the officers' quarters?

What acrylic thinners do you have? I'd try that first, on something that doesn't matter.
