Brian's Sovereign of the seas

re: the am gratings Bri;
I used to use them a lot in my work as an architecture model maker, and I don't know if you have any more to do, but this tip may help. If we needed a larger grating than the bought pieces would allow we would stagger the position of the joins in the longer lengths to avoid a butt joint across the whole piece.

not sure how old my kit is but all the metal pieces are solid bronze, (had to file some burrs off) whereas I have seen online white metal pieces in the newer kits. is this correct? Not that i'm moaning the solid brass is better quality than the white metal.

Just had a thought mate (duuurh), at least you won't have to copper her bottom as she was payed with a white lead compound! So ... remember your 'elf and safety ... :cool:
