Hi all just thought I would show off my new serving machine made by Roman Kraska. can't wait to start using it

Machine looks good. Steel and Nickle Silver always takes blackening solutions well. As to brass, it’s probably coated in photoresist from the etching process. Carrs used to make a product called Aciddip that was useful for cleaning and preparing etched brass for blackening. Also, not all blackening solutions are equal. Never had much success with blackening brass until I went over to Birchwood Casey Gun Blue. That stuff works a treat, at least, it did for me.

Stbd side gun port doors finished and rigged this kit really is testing as nothing really has been thought out to help the builder at every stage things need a work around, I'm still enjoying the challenge. though
