i joined this site to test if I could upload photos but I'm still being validated can anyone tell me how long this takes as it's been over two days now with no movement

Oh and don't start cheering as I'm not leaving this place

You can't upload photos from your PC or device. You have to use a photo sharing site. That's why my membership was brief.

There's nothing wrong with Britmodeller, although the lack of direct uploads is a pain!

It's better here though & I'm hardly ever 'over there'!

That is a problem I don't like host sites so I think I'll be a regular on it or even post on it

if i was still at my last place of work i would have asked a workmate for an equivalent for you as he speaks fluent catalan spanish

I have been asked to join IPMS, and other sites but don't feel confident in my work to showcase on other sites, besides, as Joe says, all I really need is right here.

I was on brit modeller for a few months, upload was a pain and I didn't feel that the comaraderie was as funny and friendly as it is here...It got ditched...oh and scale mates!

I think some have missed the point about joining britmodeller, I only joined to see if I could post photos after I had a problem posting pics on here , I wasn't joining britmodeller to go and post regularly lol

I'm happy here and will stay hear , great bit of banter from time to time , friendly atmosphere and not over criticical so this is the place for modellers who know its just a hobby and not a life or death type of thing.

As those that are also on BM will have noticed and (groaned inwardly) I am on there from time to time and have even posted a few builds on there. (nothing like a bit of brutally honest critique to keep up on the ball). I have the opinion that it's healthy to keep an eye on the "other fora".

Agree that the photo host thing is a pain but hey-ho it saves server space.

Are you still having problems uploading here Alan?

Yes Ian I am , I'm waiting for the bug fix to come from Apple and hope it sorts it out and if it doesn't I'll have to use my playbook to post photos due to my laptop being tempremental and it deciding when it wants to work or not
