This has been a real joy to paint. Such a wonderful sculpt, full of character and life.
I'm particularly pleased with the skintones. It's pretty natural to paint skin in brightening tones of the same colour - lighter flesh tones for Caucasian skin, lighter browns for Black skin. But skin is not matte, it reflects the light, and under a blue-grey sky, those are the colours it reflects. On Caucasian skin, the cool blues and greys are not so obvious, but on Black skin they are. So I used VGC Glacier Blue to brighten her skin, and it really works (imo).
I'm also happy with the colour choices. I used a pretty restricted palette (for me) of just 16 colours. I think it gives a coherent, unified finish.
And this is my first serious attempt at non-metallic metal. It was really a no-brainer to give it a try, as the metal components lend themselves to that treatment. In particular the absence of large areas of metal, which look fine with NMM through a camera (if you paint it right, no mean feat) but are compromised in real life (again, imo).
Anyway, here's some pictures.
