I don't think we're ever gonna reach an agreement on this fellas!

At least we can all agree that the finest way to spend our leisure time is glueing and painting bits of plastic. A most honorable pursuit me thinks! :)

Are you lot enjoying your time in the sand pit? Crikey, first world problems!

I bet Steve's glad he started this thread! :P I enjoyed reading it on my cheapo Android phone :)
Not at all! An interesting exchange of views, repeated the World over for years!

I like Apple computers because I think they are more elegant to use and have some some really useful features. For example, finding a file to store a document is usually one click away, changing the attributes of a file also. However, Apple get me fuming because they will not accept that their machines have bugs. (They are undoubtedly arrogant.) An example is the ongoing "feature" that since a year ago prevents Firewire external hard drives (the most popular) from sleeping. Not a peep from Apple, not a mention, no fix will ever be offered, despite several very active topics on their Discussions Forum asking for help from many users. And the wireless mouse going AWOL problem.... Don't start me on that. But I will, reluctantly, stick with them. (I had a Windows machine at work).

this was posted by an alert in AVG, today so some think to think about,

but still no word or patch from Microsoft

I'm not a techie, but as I understand it, the vulnerability is confined to Apple machines, and cannot attack Windows machines directly. This because only Unix and Linux operating systems are vulnerable and Windows machines do not run on these.

However, if your Internet Service Provider runs an Apple server (the computer that an ISP uses to connect you to the Internet), it could be compromised and used to infiltrate and spy on any machine, including Windows machines, which are connected to that ISP as customers of that ISP. I have installed a patch offered by Apple for my iMac and I assume that they did the same for Apple servers.

yes Steve thats right, and also some other programs may also have that software in them ,

but i think at some stage there will be a patch of some sort for win7 pc,s as well,
