Art deco aeroplanes make lovely model building subjects and the Republic Sea Bee is no exception, here is my Sea Bee under construction in between other projects.

Love it barry , the seabee has always fascinated me due to its quirky looks . Your construction so far is amazing , have you worked to plans or are you doing it all from scratch?

From scratch, that old Lindbergh plastic model shown at the end was my inspiration and pattern, out came my old school compasses and shelf paper and lots of eyeballing and adjusting and cutting.

Ah yes , wasnt that kit re re-boxed by glencoe models or is that a different one ? BTW im impressed but also slightly worried you’re using an axe in the construction process!!! Cheers tony

Thats in case things go wrong, they get axed straight away ! you will see my trademark axe often in pictures ! yes Glencoe re-issued most of the old Lincoln International kits making them more readily available, very basic models but I still love them.
