I am watching S^2C its had me blubbing like a baby. You don't know how good you have it till cancer comes along.

No shame in crying mate. I've lost family to cancer as have a lot of others. Hopefully ,one day a cure will be found.

trying to keep my best mate sane while caring for his adopted father.

T'old lad had bowel cancer, got better with keemo etc. It's come back big time

Nothing anyone can do, in his bones now as well

All i can say is this..... Thank god (if there is one!) for forums like this one

People who 'get' other people, no keyboard warriors or massive Ego's!

I am so sorry to hear that for all of you, they do seem to be winning the fight now though, not much consolation to you I know, it's a terrible disease.

I couldn't watch it, its just a few weeks and then its two years to the day I lost my mom and I'm still in bits now.

I've been off work for the past 3 1/2 months with depression and the only thing that keeps me goings is throwing myself into my models.

I can't watch things like this I saw my mother go through cancer and I don't want to remember that

There's a film called who will love my children, if any man can watch that without fighting back tears then he's not human

No matter who you are everyone has had someone close to them affected by the curse of cancer. I rarely cry but 9 years ago my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Just hearing cancer brings your whole world crashing down. At the time you can't see any hope but thankfully she's still here and in the clear. Couldn't imagine a world without my mom. For every disease there is a cure, hopefully we will find one for cancer soon.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, I'm not going to say it gets any easier but it does become less hurtful, I still shed a tear now when I think of my mom and step dad, but I also smile and chuckle when I think back to the good times we had and the sometimes silly things that would be done or said. This is what you will think of in the coming months and ease your pain just a little.

Agree with you there Adrian. Always remember the good times. I lost my Dad 33 years ago to a heart attack. He was only 35. It was hard to start with but remembering him with the good times we had made it easier. Mum later remarried but sadly 2 years ago step dad was taken from us with cancer. Not only did he make mum happy but he took me & my brother as his own. Had many happy days fishing with him. One of the last things he wanted to do was build a model. He made a spitfire which mum has on display. Sorry for waffling on.
