Yep its that time of the year the dreaded MOT they work faultlessly all year and as soon as it gets within a couple weeks to go bang goes the wallet.

Two weeks to go one of my light lenses drops out so I go the whole hog and get two new lights and bulbs all round.

I got them all fitted and working and on checking no side lights and no rear lights when on main beam so i took all light switches on the dash apart cleaned and replaced them no joy getting frustrated I checked the fuse's all seemed find only to find one was broken two seconds later and one new fuse and all was fine.

Arrrrrrrgggggghhhhh!!!!! that was one hour wasted !!!!!!?????

Yep, they know when it is MOT time, I used to dread it, always spent the week before making sure everything was working and guaranteed when I went to pick it up there was something needing replacing :(

In my line of business if something doesn't work you check to make sure it isn't in O.F.F mode, then the circuit breakers then the fuse.

My next car up for an MOT is 46 years old - ok not all of it is 46 years old, but lots of it is. Every MOT fills me with dread.
