discussion Changes to top navigation bar

Hi has anybody noticed that the top navigation has changed is it me or has it changed for everyone? If I want to check my threads I now have to go to forum-underconstruction-planes and helicopters and then look down the list to find my thread. where as before I could use the drop down posts and then my threads. I've also noticed that there's no home button so once you've entered a topic you can't go back.

I'm glad it's not just me it's a real pain because what was just two clicks to get to my thread it's now three plus scrolling down to the forum topic and then finding your thread which might not be on the first page:sad:

Changed on mine as well. I don't know if John has been playing or whether something has happened beyond his control.

Either way I hope it goes back to how it was!!!

There was a problem with the code that's been causing strange errors so I've removed it for now but will add everything back shortly

John there still seems to be problems with the navigation and links on the site. Once you leave the home page there is no way of returning to it without exiting the site. There's also no short cut to your own personal threads.

I hope you can restore things to their original state.

Having the same problem here. Also I keep being signed off even when I have ticked the box to stay signed in, but saying that my browser may be playing up.

That's the same as the What's new? button

To get back to the Home Page, go to the address bar, and remove the last part of the address so it only shows. www.scale-models.co.uk and hit refresh.

If you are having problems finding your own build threads, you can book mark them to your browser....

I must confess I dont miss the missing buttons that much. I just hit the new posts (whats new) or if my browser has dumped the cookie I look in the "posts in last 24 hours"

I do miss the ' find my threads ' option, it's very handy.

Hi Patrick to find your threads at the very top of the page is your name/avatar name ( just after welcome ) click on that, then you got to your profile page on the lefthand side is find latest started threads click that and there are your threads hope this helps

Ian that's somewhat complicated and unnecessary it would be far easier just to put the HOME button back. I'm still not quite sure why the navigation had to be changed in the first place.

Can we please have the "Find my posts" button back? I know there is an alternative way to do it but that involves multiple clicks and having one accessible from the menu was just so easy... pretty please?

I'm doing it as fast as I can, I've put the home and gallery button are back, I'm working on find my posts.

Thanks for what you're doing John. I'm sure that, like me, everyone understands that you're running this pretty much on your own & it takes time to sort things out.

We often rather take the site for granted, without thinking of what goes on behind the scenes to make it possible. And that's you & the moderators, so thanks again.
