Looks great. The mud is very effective. I like it lots.

Well, all I can say is I'm shocked to be honest, I know everyone here is kind, and will always say nice things, but to get the responses I've had, I'm over the moon.

I've a long way to come, with many things yet to learn, and many more to try (and screw up, as we all are human....I think...)

But then this is why this forum and its members is a wonderful place to be! Helpful people, with great attitudes, always willing to impart advice, and always always encouraging for new model builders like me!

Thank you everyone,

Ok, took the hint and have started making my very first dio base.

I got a corner shelf for Hayden's room, and stained it with wood stain.

Then I masked of the edges, and test fit the tank.

Then, on went the tile grout, and smoothed round to the desired area, then a little artistic stippling to look like ground.

Outside found a few rocks and bits, and placed them in the grout, along with some foliage kit, to make some bushes.

Then once this is dry, I'm going to airbrush the base, with ground colours, and add some grass flecks.

I hope it comes out ok,
