He's Moochie he is the one who is going to get squished by Christine, just think all those guts, as Arnie says to the police when they tell him what was left of Moochie had to be shoveled up "well that's what you do with (a word meaning poo which the moderators would not like me using)"

Hi all tonight's installment thought i ought to do some work on the director and his stuff and finish the lights. here is where I am at now.

Here is the little guy I am going to use as Mr John Carpenter.

with a little persuasion I got him to sit.

So now of course he needs a seat.

and here he is with the finished lights

so thats tonights installment.

its looking so good and well done to get Mr Carpenter., to take a set,

good work on the chair as well turned out well, that some think i should get is a small vice as well come in very handy at times, ;)

so do all 3 lights have lights in them ? and if so do they work ?

Thread owner
Yes they do. I got the vice from aldi don't know if you have them over there it was about £3.50 cheap as chips has a suction cap underneath so you can stick it to your bench and has 3sets of jaws with varied hardnesses plus of course as I am using it there just the bare jaws, best piece of kit I have bought.

oh nice thats only about $ 7.00 AUD, great pries , yes we do have aldi, over hear but never real look in there, i think i should who knows what bargains one my find :D

oh you are good to get leds in them, can we please see a pic with lights, camera, action

your wish is my command

I have got to say I am quite chuffed with John Carpenter

I dont know if he has one now but the photo I have with him on the set of Christine he is sporting a moustache so I have given my little man one, he dosn't look much like John, I mean john is much slimmer than mine and he is only wearing a jumper on the pic I have, but he could have been wearing a jacket earlier so not too worried about that.

thank you, i do like these lights ,they have turned out so well, and a nice yellow as well, very good,

so much better on this one, he is looking good, keep up the good work, ;)

The lights are actually bright white but I thought they looked a bit too harsh so I put a yellow wash over them(that's one advantage over bulbs, bulbs would have burnt it off but not less)to be honest I think I put a bit too much yellow on, too late now though can't take it off.glad you like them though mono.

they look great, and did you just do them that way you showed of bending the legs of the led to fit the battery ?

i was looking for some colored rapping plastic we had about to change the color,

Looking mighty fine Ken, I'm liking this alot!

Lee :)

Hi all here is where I am at now

still got 2 cameras to build and their crew and of course start crushing christine int the loading bay. nearing the end of this build now.

Hi Ken, have had a look at the dio, and as far as I can see it is missing only a few details mate. Crew members loads more would be milling about also equipment cases etc. Christine needs headlights-forget the tailights they are not in shot, also in the film the ground is wet so you need to add some water effects to the road surface.

Apart from that, I really cannot see anything else to add.

Si:)

Equipment cases yes of course there would probably be loads about, and probably spare reels of film thanks Si would never have thought of that.

Sod the cases, it looks great Ken

Lee :)

looking great, Ken, , keep up the good work, on the home run, :D

you know i have only ever seen little bits of the movie never the whole thing,as the cars that eat Paris ;)

Well I've started building the other 2 cameras this time they are not Panavision they are Cisca they are being built as a pair but I am giving one a different lens, also one will be on a tripod and the other will be on a dolly.

little bit more detail to put on them then build the tripod and the dolly, then the camera men\women the rest of the crew a boom mike I just suddenly thought of (i wonder if that could\would be mounted on the dolly with the camera) some kit boxes, film reels, all the cables then the dreaded crushing christine into the loading bay.

Yeah fantastic stuff Ken, keep it coming mate

Lee :)

looking good Ken,so much detail to them and like how you use all bits and bobs for them, a great scratch builder in the making,
