Hi All!

I know, maybe most of you are in your summer holidays yet.

But in a few time, the weather will change and the cold comes. Time for us to close at our man cave.

I remember the last year, the little "competition" of John do about the AK calender. Was nice, simply and funny.

I ask myself if someone want to do something similar. It's not necessary to be a competition.

It just to do some "activity", apart of the SIG & GB together. Of course, only the Christmas days. Read last year too, some of you "hate" the Christmas, but I don't tell you to do a Merkava tank with the Papa Noel colors... :)

Today is a feeling, just thinking about the scale-models "family" keep togheter :)

What you say chaps....want to try it?

Any suggestion?

Regards

Polux

Sounds a very interesting concept Polux plenty of scope for the winter wonderland snow scene type build

Polux! What a great idea and I am so pleased that you have volunteered for the project. I am sure that you will find a great idea. But you better start thinking. There is after all only three months until the madness begins.

I'll have a go at that Polux ............... Although I have no idea quite what to do ............. Maybe Santa's Sleigh towed by a BF109 with Tinsel on it ????? ........... Or Santa on a rooftop dressed in red and white SAS coveralls and a S10 respirator, throwing "Stun Grenades" down the chimney, before rappelling down ?????

I'll give it some thought.

Peter

Expanding on peters fine ideas , how about a tank covered in tinsul being pulled by rain dear with Santa sticking out of the turret.

Hi chaps!

Well, any kind of suggestion is welcome....

Maybe the most difficult thing will be find the balance between the pasion on this forum for the tanks and planes on the WWII with the Christmas theme....

In fact it's not necessary to have Santa in any where, the most important thing is have the major part of the members taking part of it....

Without an incentive maybe could be difficult.... but we can find any kind of "game/competition" or similar....

Ian, IanM and Scott# Don't leave me alone on this.....Think about it too, please, you have more "common sense" than me ;)

Regards

Santas sleigh as a tank buster fitted with 20mm vulcan gatling guns shooting up iraqi tanks during operation christmas freedom.

I reckon a seasonal theme is a good idea Polux. I'd take part in a seasonal GB sort of activity. Hope to have more time for modelling soon!

If is an activity that the members like, we can do every december. In fact start at 1 december and finish about 24 could be nice! A fast build.

And Ian or Tony (mossiepilot) are good exemples. Anykind of vehicle with Santa, or with this tipycal lights, or ... Well just talk about it.

Excellent idea Polux...count me in!

If it's to be a specific type of model, i.e. a modern jet or a tank, this might put folks off....So how about just keeping it simple and straight forward?

'Christmas'

Then just let the member's imagination take over........No limits. It would make your job as 'Build Mod' very easy too!

It would then be very interesting to see what people come up with.

Cheers,

Ron

I'm in for this ... I didn't bother with the bike GB due to lack of interest.

I've got my "something alive" build idea sorted and already have a couple of ideas sparking for a Christmas SIG.

good idea Polux.

I often wonder if we could donate these builds to charity afterwards, can they sell them? After all they're basically ornaments.

Thanks Ian and Peter!

We all must start making concrete the ideas if all you want.

PS: Ian M?? Are you here?? ;)

Not seriously, we need ten members to do it like a SIG? Or simply free..?
