Two years ago I made this ornament for a friend, Marian aged 90.

Friends and family have seen pictures of it and now I have to make seven more.

After the ornament is decorated with snow (wall filler) and painted white, the flat panel on the front of the will have a "Merry Christmas" sticker in gold coloured foil cut out on a Cricut Joy. I have used small LEDs from Christmas lights with the battery box hidden under the base. I won't put a robin on the snowman's hat as in the first ornament, as her father told Marian that he would always be with her as a robin. The whole thing gets a light coat of gloss spray varnish.
The wooden angles at the back are experimental trim pieces made from cut down lolly sticks that I will stain and varnish to go around the edges of the four display cases I am making. The gold coloured pieces at bottom right are the covers to hide the joint in the trim pieces. They are 3D printed and painted. If I don't like the look of the wood trim I have some 13mm aluminium angle that I will either paint or polish. I fancy painting the ally angle gloss black with the 3D printed trim gold.
The pine table had been the family breakfast table for over fifty years and came to Cornwall with me 26 years ago. It has thousands of feint "X"s in it from when my mum did her spot the ball. It will never get sanded down or refinished.
