All this mention of bl**dy Foreign junk
Foreign. I'll have you know mine were built in the 70's by a proper, uninterested, poorly managed, union driven British work force.
floors made out of Duckhams cans flattened and pop-rivetted on
I restored the Damask red one, it was on its third set of sills, all of which had to be removed. 70's rust, nothing quite like it.

That's a German Alfa isn't it ?

As the weather has always been good for the Cosford visits, I always go in the V8.
Youve got to let us know and park it near the cafe then colin , i really want to hear that V8 !!

What is that Ron. Looks like a customized Morgan. Does it still have a wood floor? I use Hagerty's for my vette. PaulE

Paul - It's a Panther Kallista 2.8i V6. It has an aluminium body with a box section steel chassis. They were built between 1982/93 by Panther Westwinds at Weybridge here in the U.K.

I can't remember how many were build, but it wasn't many. I do know that about 150 went over to the States and there are around 114 left on the road in this country.

British and Proud....

No power steering, has to be 'Driven' and has the aerodynamics of a fence panel - Beautiful!
Not a kit car.
Panther Kallista Ron? I'm sure you could buy it in kit form.

And do not forget the old cement bags used to fill out the door panels before the half ton of filler was put on. First job I had when i left school was in a back street garge/car sales Alvis Grey Lady, Jags Mk 7,8 and 9, Triumph Roadster and then it was chop the roof of one Alvis to make it into a tourer. The Boss served as a rear gunner on Lancs. What an entertaining intorduction to a working life.

In the sixties, when T-type MGs were just old bangers, a chap in our local MG club had a TC that had belonged to a plasterer, and one door was almost completely filled with pink plaster with a coat of gloss paint brushed over it. Another member bought a TA with low compression - when he took the head off it had a wooden piston!

Fair enough Ron. A neighbour had one a long time ago, and I was sure he told me he'd bought it as an unfinished kit. Maybe he meant an unfinished restoration project or summat.
